CPVC Pipe Price per Metre 2026: Ashirvad, Astral and Supreme
7 min read
Quick answer: CPVC pipe in SDR 11 costs ₹50.40 a metre in Astral and ₹65 a metre in Ashirvad at 1/2 inch, ₹67.40 and ₹87 at 3/4 inch, and ₹104.40 and ₹134.60 at 1 inch, before GST. Both are sold in 5 metre lengths, so a 3/4 inch Astral SDR 11 length is ₹337 (list ₹750). Supreme is listed per pipe below. Prices were checked on 3 November 2026; GST is 18 percent on top.
Most people asking for a CPVC price want one number they can hold a quotation against. The honest number is the price per metre, at a stated size and class, before or after tax. A rate per length is what you actually pay at the counter, but it only compares with another rate if the lengths are the same.
So this page puts the three brands we sell side by side, Ashirvad, Astral and Supreme, class against class. "Our price" is what we charge at the Viveknagar counter before GST, the same as the product page. The brand's list price is on each product page and in the brand price lists: Ashirvad, Astral and Supreme.
CPVC pipe price per metre, SDR 11 (Class 1)
SDR 11 is the thicker wall and the one to use on hot lines. Under IS 15778 it is Pressure Class 1. Ashirvad and Astral both sell it in 5 metre lengths, and the per metre column is the length price divided by five.
| Size | Astral per 5 m | Astral per metre | Ashirvad per 5 m | Ashirvad per metre | Supreme per pipe |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 inch | ₹252 (list ₹560) | ₹50.40 | ₹325 (list ₹650) | ₹65 | ₹279 (list ₹620) |
| 3/4 inch | ₹337 (list ₹750) | ₹67.40 | ₹435 (list ₹870) | ₹87 | ₹400 (list ₹890) |
| 1 inch | ₹522 (list ₹1,160) | ₹104.40 | ₹673 (list ₹1,346) | ₹134.60 | ₹622 (list ₹1,383) |
| 1 1/4 inch | ₹893 (list ₹1,985) | ₹178.60 | ₹1,152 (list ₹2,303) | ₹230.40 | ₹1,026 (list ₹2,279) |
| 1 1/2 inch | ₹1,226 (list ₹2,725) | ₹245.20 | ₹1,581 (list ₹3,161) | ₹316.20 | ₹1,407 (list ₹3,127) |
| 2 inch | ₹2,129 (list ₹4,730) | ₹425.80 | ₹2,744 (list ₹5,487) | ₹548.80 | ₹2,340 (list ₹5,199) |
Why Supreme has no per metre figure. Supreme's own CPVC price list quotes the pipe by the metre, and its pipe is found in the trade in more than one length. The Supreme column is the price of one pipe as we sell it. Ask us the length before you divide, and only then compare it with the other two. The full Supreme range is on the Supreme CPVC price list.
CPVC pipe price per metre, SDR 13.5 (Class 2)
SDR 13.5 has the thinner wall and a lower pressure rating. It is the cheaper choice for cold branch lines on gravity feed.
| Size | Astral per 5 m | Astral per metre | Ashirvad per 5 m | Ashirvad per metre | Supreme per pipe |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 inch | ₹220 (list ₹490) | ₹44 | ₹285 (list ₹569) | ₹57 | ₹246 (list ₹546) |
| 3/4 inch | ₹317 (list ₹705) | ₹63.40 | ₹409 (list ₹818) | ₹81.80 | ₹370 (list ₹822) |
| 1 inch | ₹463 (list ₹1,030) | ₹92.60 | ₹598 (list ₹1,195) | ₹119.60 | ₹534 (list ₹1,187) |
| 1 1/4 inch | ₹763 (list ₹1,695) | ₹152.60 | ₹984 (list ₹1,967) | ₹196.80 | ₹866 (list ₹1,924) |
| 1 1/2 inch | ₹1,055 (list ₹2,345) | ₹211 | ₹1,361 (list ₹2,721) | ₹272.20 | ₹1,188 (list ₹2,639) |
| 2 inch | ₹1,791 (list ₹3,980) | ₹358.20 | ₹2,309 (list ₹4,617) | ₹461.80 | ₹1,951 (list ₹4,335) |
In both classes and every size here, Astral works out the lowest per metre of the two we can compare like for like. The difference between the classes inside one brand is smaller than the difference between brands: Astral's 3/4 inch is ₹67.40 a metre in SDR 11 and ₹63.40 in SDR 13.5. Whether the thinner wall is right for your job is a separate question, answered in SDR 11 against SDR 13.5.
The heavy class and the large sizes
Astral's CPVC Pro SDR 9 pipe, for high pressure lines, comes in 3/4 inch at ₹87.20 a metre, from a 5 m length at ₹436 (list ₹969), and 1 inch at ₹144.80 a metre, from ₹724 (list ₹1,610). Supreme's SDR 9 is ₹486 (list ₹1,080) and ₹782 (list ₹1,737) per pipe. We do not carry Ashirvad in SDR 9.
Above 2 inch, CPVC changes to iron pipe size in Schedule 40 and Schedule 80. These are riser and building service sizes.
| Size | Astral SCH 40 per metre | Ashirvad SCH 40 per metre | Astral SCH 80 per metre | Ashirvad SCH 80 per metre |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 1/2 inch | ₹731.20 | ₹942.60 | ₹999.80 | ₹1,288.80 |
| 3 inch | ₹989 | ₹1,275 | ₹1,343.60 | ₹1,732 |
| 4 inch | ₹1,435 | ₹1,849.80 | ₹1,997 | ₹2,574.20 |
| 6 inch | ₹2,713.40 | ₹3,497.40 | ₹4,178.60 | ₹5,386 |
Both brands sell these in 5 metre lengths too; the length prices are on the product pages and the brand price lists.
Why a per metre quote and a per length quote differ
Two quotes for the same pipe can look far apart and both be correct. These are the usual reasons.
- You buy whole lengths. A run of 7 metres needs two 5 metre lengths. The per metre rate on paper is lower than what you pay per metre actually fixed, because the offcut is paid for too.
- The lengths are not the same. CPVC is not always sold in 5 metres. Divide a 3 metre pipe's price by five and it looks cheap; divide a 5 metre pipe's by three and it looks dear. Always ask "per how many metres?"
- Supply against supply and fix. A plumber's rate "per running metre" often includes fittings, labour and testing. A dealer's rate is for the pipe alone.
- Before or after GST. Trade prices are quoted before tax. A 3/4 inch Astral SDR 11 length at ₹337 (list ₹750) is ₹397.66 with 18 percent GST.
- List price against selling price. Brand list prices sit well above our selling prices. Our Astral 3/4 inch SDR 11 length is ₹337 against a list of ₹750. Make sure both quotes use the same one.

What a 2BHK uses, and a worked example
We are not going to give you a single figure for "CPVC for a 2BHK". The quantity depends on where the tank is, how many bathrooms there are, whether there is a geyser in each, and how the plumber routes the lines. What we can say is how the sizes usually divide in a flat: a larger pipe, often 1 inch, from the overhead tank or the shaft; 3/4 inch along each bathroom and the kitchen; and 1/2 inch drops to the individual taps, showers and the geyser. Our post on pipe size for house plumbing explains why.
Here is how to price a list once you have one. Assume a plumber's list reads 4 lengths of 1 inch, 12 lengths of 3/4 inch and 8 lengths of 1/2 inch, all SDR 11. These quantities are only for illustration; they are not a standard 2BHK.
| Line | Astral | Ashirvad |
|---|---|---|
| 4 x 1 inch | ₹2,088 | ₹2,692 |
| 12 x 3/4 inch | ₹4,044 | ₹5,220 |
| 8 x 1/2 inch | ₹2,016 | ₹2,600 |
| Pipe total before GST | ₹8,148 | ₹10,512 |
That is pipe only. A flat also needs elbows, tees, couplers, brass adaptors at every tap, ball valves and solvent cement, and on a bathroom job the fittings bill is often larger than the pipe bill. The full material picture for a house is in plumbing material cost for a 30x40 house.
