Ashirvad Water Tank Price List 2026: 3-Layer, 4-Layer and Aquafer, Every Size
Quick answer: Ashirvad's list price (MRP, before 18% GST) for a 3-layer tank is ₹7,600 for 500 L, ₹15,200 for 1,000 L and ₹30,400 for 2,000 L, a flat ₹15.20 a litre up to 2,000 litres. The insulated 4-layer tank costs about 14% more, for example ₹17,300 for 1,000 L. Aquafer underground tanks start at ₹60,000 for a 2,000 L standalone unit.
This is Ashirvad's own price list for water storage tanks, effective 1 August 2026, laid out so you can read it in a minute. We are an authorised Ashirvad dealer in Bengaluru and stock these tanks alongside the CPVC that connects them.
Two things before the numbers. These are manufacturer list prices (MRP), before GST at 18%. The price on each product page on this site is the price we charge: check it there, or ask for a quote on the whole job.
The three ranges
3-layer tank. Ashirvad's standard overhead tank: a UV-stabilised outer layer, a structural middle layer and a smooth inner layer with an antimicrobial additive. Ashirvad's literature describes silver-ion (nano-silver) protection that inhibits bacterial growth on the inside wall. Roto-moulded in one piece, so there is no seam to fail. Sizes run from 500 to 10,000 litres.
4-layer tank. The same construction plus a foam insulation layer between the walls. Ashirvad rates it at up to 15°C cooler water in summer, which on a west-facing Bengaluru terrace in April is the difference between a shower and a scald. Sizes 500 to 2,000 litres.
Aquafer. An underground tank (the sump) in black, sold as a 2,000 L standalone unit or as modular sections (4,000 L middle, 4,750 L start/end) that bolt together for larger sumps without casting one in concrete.

Notice the per-litre figure: it is flat at ₹15.20 from 500 to 2,000 litres. Ashirvad does not discount the bigger household sizes, so there is no saving in buying larger than you need: size to your actual usage (our tank sizing guide does the arithmetic).

The insulation costs about 14% more across every size. Whether it is worth it depends on where the tank sits: a tank on an open terrace with afternoon sun, yes; a tank in a shaded loft or a covered plant room, probably not.

Aquafer underground tank prices

A modular sump is built from start/end sections with middle sections between them, so a 12,750 L sump is one start, one middle, one end. Compare the total against an RCC sump of the same size including waterproofing and the weeks of curing. The polymer tank goes in the same day the pit is ready and does not crack.
What the price does not include
- Tank nipples and connectors: the inlet, outlet, overflow and drain fittings. We stock Ashirvad CPVC and uPVC tank nipples in every size.
- A float valve (ball cock) for the inlet, and an overflow pipe run to a drain.
- Pipe from the pump to the inlet and from the outlet down, normally CPVC for the hot-water side and uPVC or PVC for cold.
- Installation. Placing a tank is a plumber's half-day; a sump is a civil job.
- GST at 18% on the tank (HSN 39172390).
Colours and part numbers
Overhead tanks come in white, yellow, green and blue at the same price; the 3,000 L and 5,000 L are white or yellow, and the 10,000 L is white only. Aquafer is black. Each colour has its own Ashirvad part number. The product pages list the white ones, and we can order any colour on the same lead time. Give us the part number or just the size and colour.
Frequently asked
Is the 4-layer tank worth the extra?
If the tank will stand in direct sun for most of the day, yes: the insulation is doing real work every summer afternoon. Under a shade or inside a plant room, spend the difference on a bigger 3-layer tank instead.
What is the warranty?
Ashirvad publishes a multi-year warranty on its tanks (its current literature says 15 years). Read the terms that come with the tank: Ashirvad's price list notes that warranty applies when the installation uses Ashirvad pipes, fittings and solvent cement, so keep the fittings in the family.
Do you deliver?
Same-day across Bengaluru for tanks up to 2,000 L on orders placed before noon; larger tanks and Aquafer units are scheduled deliveries.
Can I collect the tank myself?
Yes, from our Viveknagar shop during business hours. A 1,000 L tank fits on a small goods vehicle but not in a car.
