What Bathroom Fittings Actually Cost in Bengaluru: A Dealer’s Guide

Quick answer: At our dealer prices before GST, water closets run ₹1,260 to ₹17,200, wash basins ₹936 to ₹23,300, faucets and taps ₹302 to ₹48,700, showers ₹648 to ₹87,800 and accessories ₹374 to ₹11,400. The spread inside each item is wider than the gap between items, so a good WC can cost less than an indulgent tap. A wall hung WC with a concealed cistern or a thermostatic shower system pushes the budget up fastest.
Ask what a bathroom costs and you will get a number that means nothing, because it depends entirely on what goes in it. What is more useful is knowing the range for each item, so you can see where your budget is going and where it is worth stretching.
The figures below are dealer price bands from our live Parryware catalogue: what we actually quote, not MRP. All are before GST.
Where the money goes
| Item | Typical range | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Water closets | ₹1,260 – ₹17,200 | Rimless, wall hung, one-piece, flush technology |
| Wash basins | ₹936 – ₹23,300 | Type, size, colour, designer series |
| Faucets & taps | ₹302 – ₹48,700 | Cartridge quality, finish, single lever vs pillar |
| Showers | ₹648 – ₹87,800 | Overhead size, thermostatic mixers, body jets |
| Accessories | ₹374 – ₹11,400 | Finish, mounting, whether it is a set |
The spread inside each row is wider than the gap between rows. That is the important observation: a good WC costs less than an indulgent tap.

Budgeting a single bathroom
For one standard bathroom you are buying, at minimum: a WC, a basin, a basin tap, a health faucet, a shower or a wall mixer with an overhead, and a handful of accessories.
At the sensible end (good mid-range everything, nothing decorative), the fittings for one bathroom land in a band most people find lower than they expected. The number climbs quickly with two things: a wall hung WC with a concealed cistern and frame, and a thermostatic shower system. Either one can cost more than the rest of the bathroom combined.
Note what is not in that figure: tiles, the vanity unit, the mirror, waterproofing, plumbing labour and civil work. Those are usually the larger half of a bathroom renovation.

Where it is worth spending more
The tap cartridge. This is the single best place to put money. A cheap tap drips within a couple of years and a dripping tap on a ceramic cartridge is not always worth repairing. The cartridge is what you are paying for; the chrome is incidental.
A rimless WC. Covered in our guide to wall hung versus floor mounted WCs. It makes more difference day to day than the mounting style.
The health faucet and its hose. The most used fitting in an Indian bathroom, and routinely the cheapest thing bought. It is a false economy.

Coloured and matte finishes. They look excellent and they cost noticeably more, in both sanitaryware and brassware. If the budget is tight this is the first thing to drop: the white version is the same product.
Oversized overhead showers. A very large rain head needs real flow to work. On a typical overhead tank in a Bengaluru flat, a 300mm head can feel weaker than a smaller one, because the pressure is spread over more holes. Match the head to the pressure you have, not to the showroom display where it is fed off a pump.
Multi-piece accessory sets. You rarely use every piece. Buy the three you will actually mount.

MRP, dealer price and what to ask for
Sanitaryware is sold at a substantial discount to printed MRP across the trade, so a quoted "percentage off" is close to meaningless on its own: everyone discounts from the same inflated list. What matters is the final rupee figure per item, and whether GST is on top or included.
When you collect quotes, ask for them the same way each time: item code, final price per piece, GST separate. Otherwise you are comparing numbers that were never comparable.
Buy the bathroom, not the items
The most common way to overspend is to buy piece by piece over several weeks, each time at a different shop. Finishes drift, the tap does not match the basin drilling, and you end up with a second delivery charge and an adaptor.
Take the whole list to one place, get it priced as a list, and confirm the pieces work together before anything ships. We will quote a full bathroom list with GST and same-day delivery across Bengaluru: send us the list or the plumber's material sheet and we will price it.
